Workshop: follow in the footsteps of the landscape painters

On Sunday 27 October, you can participate in a landscape drawing and painting workshop. During this workshop, you will learn about the history of landscape painters and get an introduction to observational drawing/painting, given by experienced artists of the association Vriendenkring 't Palet, in the middle of the silence area Grenspark Kalmthoutse Heide. 

Nature guide Hans Geldof will guide you from gateway De Vroente to the location of the workshop. On the way, he tells about the 19th-century artists who found their way to this peace and quiet area thanks to the newly constructed railway line, where they captured the power of nature on canvas. 

Practical information: 

• Date: Sunday 27 October 

• Time: 9.30 a.m. - 12.00 p.m. 

• Location: Depart from De Vroente car park, 2920 Kalmthout (Belgium). De Vroente is within walking distance of Heide train station.

• Number of participants: Maximum 20, from 16 years of age 

• Cost: Free, but registration is required.

  This activity is fully booked. Registration is no longer possible.
• Material: Bring your own drawing materials (e.g. pencils, crayons, charcoal, chalk) and a chair. After registering, you will receive a confirmation e-mail with all supplies listed.

• Weather conditions: In case of bad weather, the workshop may be cancelled or moved to another location. In this case, we will keep you informed.
