This path is a unique walking trail: not only because it is the only path on the other side of the Putsesteenweg, but also because it is fully equipped for people with a visual impairment. With the Butterfly app (Android or iOS), blind and visually impaired people can follow the route and enjoy expert explanations about nature and history. The path is maintained so that it is easily passable. Natural elements such as tree trunks mark out the path and ensure that walking sticks do their job well. Count on at least an hour to an hour and a half to walk the entire route. Are you not visually impaired but curious about how blind or visually impaired people experience nature and the path? Then you can borrow simulation glasses and walking sticks from De Vroente.
