A top hiking trail if you like variety and challenge! Hiking path Mier is characterised by the presence of three biotopes: forest, heathland and open sand. The open, loose sand makes this walk a real challenge, especially in dry periods. Take your time and, above all, enjoy the wide views you find here. Silence prevails. The wind blowing across the sandy plains and heather and the tranquillity make this walk more than worthwhile. The shade of the forest offers a nice change in the hot summer months. Haven't had enough of these beautiful surroundings after 6.5 km? Then you can easily combine the Mier footpath with Schaap (heathland, forest, fens, dunes, Putse Moer and watchtower) or with Haas (similar to Mier: open sand with heathland and wide views).
