Junior Ranger club (12 - 17 years old)
Those who still can't get enough of nature after the Libelhamelclub can join the Junior Rangers club of Grenspark Kalmthoutse Heide. From September to June, these enthusiastic youngsters (aged 12 to 17) set off in the Grenspark. They get to work as real rangers: going out with a forester, studying the typical birds, plants and other animals in the Grenspark, rolling up their sleeves during nature management and much more. Cool concept? Definitely! Interested in becoming a Junior Ranger?
The Junior Rangers have been doing fun educational nature activities in recent years and also rolled up their sleeves to help with nature management. This is how they became ambassadors of one of our most beautiful nature reserves. A new group of friends got them right on top.
The new working year starts every year in September.
There is no fixed base, but the activities take place in and around Grenspark Kalmthoutse Heide.
Youngsters remain members for a whole school year and can take part in 10 activities. On top of that, there is also the possibility of participating in a summer camp.
These 10 activities take place once a month on Saturday mornings from 9.30 to 12.30 (excluding evening activities).
The membership fee for 1 school year is 60 euros. Membership fees are not refundable if members decide to stop participating after all,
We allow a maximum of 25 members. If full, you will be put on the reserve list.
Junior Rangers will have the opportunity to order a dark green Unisex Hoodie with inscription and logo Junior Rangers. If you wish to order one, please specify the size of the youngster. The price is 25 euros, on top of the 60 euros participation fee.
