Walking path Mammoet takes you past various landscapes of the Meiduinen area in Ossendrecht. Pass sandy plains, fens, woods and heathland and discover the steep edge, where the history of the West Brabant landscape is literally under your feet. Excavations of the former brickworks bring to the surface remains from as many as 2 million years ago. You can do this short (2.2 km) walk after walking route Kikker (6.3 km). Start at Volksabdij - Abdijbossen and follow the signs Kikker and Mammoet.
Attention! As from 1 September 2023, Brasserie Abdijbos, including the building with the public toilets, will close completely. The car park will remain accessible for visitors to the hiking and cycling trails.
