On Tuesday 8 June, Grenspark Kalmthoutse Heide received a report that a steel cable had been stretched in the forest, injuring a mountain biker. Police and BOAs (Buitengewoon OpsporingsAmbtenaar) were immediately informed and very vigilant in the forest.
We would like to ask all users of the forest to join us in looking out for such cables and/or suspicious persons.
Chairman Martin Groffen: "These practices are very dangerous and completely unacceptable. It is very worrying that people are posting this kind of thing. Grenspark Kalmthoutse Heide should be a safe place to mountain bike."
