Training course for youth nature guides at Grenspark Kalmthoutse Heide
Do you enjoy working with children or young people and do you have a passion for nature? If so, the training programme to become a youth nature guide at Grenspark Kalmthoutse Heide, run by IVN Natuureducatie, offers a great opportunity. Learn how to enthusiastically share your passion and sense of wonder about nature with young people.
- When? Wednesdays 16 and 30 September and 28 October 2026, from 1.00 pm to 4.30 pm
- Where? De Vroente (Putsesteenweg 129–131 – B-2920 Kalmthout, Belgium)
What will you be doing?
Various volunteer groups are active in Grenspark Kalmthoutse Heide and the surrounding area, offering nature education for young people. During the training to become a youth nature guide, you’ll develop all the skills needed to independently lead a group of children or young people on nature outings. On the IVN website, you can find out where you can start working once you’ve completed the training.
Will you join us?
Knowledge of nature is an advantage, but not a requirement. Your enthusiasm is what counts most. Once you’ve completed the three half-day training course, you can start working as a youth nature guide in Grenspark Kalmthoutse Heide and the surrounding area. You’ll become part of a warm and welcoming network of volunteers, and there’ll be plenty of opportunity to learn more about nature and how to share the experience of nature with younger generations.
