Visit Ravenhof Castle on Heritage Day

Sunday 8 Sep
–
Ravenhof Castle - Oud Broek 4 - 2940 Stabroek

The restoration of the joinery is currently nearing its end and work on the roof will start in spring 2025. Get to know the castle's rich history, admire the new windows for the first time and take a unique look at the roof.

During Open Monumentendag, you get the chance to take part in a fascinating guided tour of about an hour in the majestic Ravenhof Castle every half hour between 10am and 4pm.

The guides of the community association Molengalm will take you for a short introduction to the history of the castle and its inhabitants. You will then get an explanation of the past restoration of the castle's no fewer than 192 windows and doors. Find out what has been preserved, what had to be renewed and whether double-glazing was used.

As icing on the cake, visit the attics of the castle where the inner shell was dismantled in preparation for the roof restoration. A unique opportunity to take a closer look at the roof structure and damage.
