The route

An independent design team(OMGEVING, Hesselteer and Endeavour) was appointed to work with all stakeholders on a well-founded and supported master plan.

Via 3 participatory workbenches and various consultation moments, the details of the master plan will be fleshed out over the coming months. Themes such as nature, landscape, tourism, recreation and heritage will be addressed during these workbenches. At the end of May 2023, the master plan, which we are shaping together with all parties involved such as municipalities, nature associations, farmers, Regional Landscape of the Voorkempen and the tourism sector, can be submitted. A jury will then decide which four candidates may receive the National Park label.
