For scientific illustrator and graphic artist Joris De Raedt, the Grenspark is an inspiring workplace. He can spend hours here, peering through his telescope lens or watercolouring in his sketchbook. Joris studies and draws animals, mainly birds, and plants in their natural habitat. His work is known and loved by clients far beyond the country's borders. Yet Joris likes and regularly returns to the Grenspark, his backyard, where he captures the natural behaviour of bird species in beautiful, realistic illustrations. Joris took us on one of his bicycle tours through the Grenspark, and showed us how he works. We captured it in a short film for the series 'Stories from Heath & Far'. Want to admire Joris' work?
