Surviving on six legs - the hard struggle of insects to (over)live
From egg to adult: insects have to fight a gruelling battle to live and survive. Along the way, cunning assassins, lightning-fast hunters and sneaky parasites lurk. How do insects make sure they avoid these dangerous thresholds? What clever tricks have they developed to do so? In this lecture by Petra Vijncke, you will discover all about it. We bet you will look full of admiration at a 'simple' ladybird or a 'clumsy' caterpillar after this?
The lecture is free, but registration is required via the online registration form.
This activity is organised by Petra Vijncke and is part of the 'Soortenrijk Grenspark Beleefweek!'. For a week, together with partners of Grenspark Kalmthoutse Heide , we will highlight the incredible diversity of plants and animals that our nature has to offer.
