On 29 October, when the clocks are turned back, not only does winter time start, but also the Day of Silence. Every year on the last Sunday of October, the Day of Silence reminds us of the value of slowing down, stillness and quality attention. Grenspark Kalmthoutse Heide, as a three-star nature reserve, is one of the rare nature reserves in Flanders and the Netherlands where you can still truly enjoy peace, quiet and a pleasant acoustic environment.
The Grenspark therefore organises various silence activities for young and old every year, in cooperation with volunteers, in line with the International Day of Silence.
