Former chairman of Grenspark Kalmthoutse Heide, Martin Groffen, was appointed Member in the Order of Orange Nassau. He receives this honourable award in recognition of his many years of work within local politics and his broad social commitment.
Within the Grenspark , Martin Groffen has played a special role. For seven years, he was chairman and made an important contribution to developing and strengthening cross-border cooperation. Thanks to his experience and commitment, the Grenspark continued to grow into a strong partnership across borders. Today, he remains closely involved as a member of the Supervisory Board.
Besides his commitment to the Grenspark , he was active in municipal politics, including as a councillor and for 12 years as an alderman in Woensdrecht, whose portfolio included finance, tourism and cross-border cooperation.
