By bike
The Grenspark is easily accessible by bike. Cycling is sustainable, practical, and fast! At the various park entrances and starting points, you'll find bike racks where you can safely park your bike.

Bike repair stations & charging points
In the municipality of Kalmthout, you'll find several bike repair stations. Here, you can make simple repairs or pump up your tyres. These stations are located at De Vroente park entrance and at Kalmthout and Heide train stations. The Essen station also has a bike repair station. Additionally, there are various locations in Kalmthout where you can charge your bike at participating hospitality venues. For the latest list of these locations, click here.

Bike sharing

Blue Bike

Blue-bikes allow you to explore the Grenspark conveniently and affordably. You'll find Blue-bikes at the Essen, Kalmthout, and Heide stations.

 How it works:

1. Register online: Create an account on the Blue-bike website or app.
2. Rent a bike: When you arrive at your destination, you can easily rent a bike with your Blue-bike member card or the app.
3. Enjoy your ride: The first 24 hours cost just a few euros.
4. Return: Bring the bike back to the same station and place it in the Blue-bike parking area.

Donkey Republic

Donkey Republic also offers shared bikes you can use to visit the Grenspark. These bikes are available at the Essen, Wildert, Kalmthout, and Heide stations. There's also a Donkey Republic drop zone at the Stoppelbergen starting point.

 How it works:

1. Download the app: Install the Donkey Republic app on your smartphone and create an account.
2. Find and unlock a bike: Use the app to locate a nearby bike. You can unlock the bike directly with your phone, with no membership needed-just pay per ride.
3. Ride whenever you want: Whether for a few hours or a whole day, use the bike as long as you need. Rates start from just a few euros per hour. Donkey Republic also offers cost-effective day packages via the app.
4. Return: Park the bike at a Donkey Republic location and lock it with the app to end your rental.

Mountain biking
For more adventurous cyclists, there are four challenging singletrack mountain biking routes available. These intense trails are connected by a yellow linking loop, allowing you to fully enjoy the technical challenges.
