Nature Within. Into the Silence – a sensory meditation on silence

Sunday 25 Oct
–
14:00
Holistic Centre -OM-, Frans Raatsstraat 116, 2920 Kalmthout, Belgium

For the ‘Night of the Night’ and the ‘Day of Silence’, Holistic Centre -OM-, in collaboration with Grenspark De Kalmthoutse Heide, is offering two experiential activities that together form a diptych.

Through body awareness, breathing, sensory perception, stillness and a conscious encounter with the landscape, participants are invited to experience nature in a different way.

Both activities can be undertaken separately. Together, they form a journey from seeing and feeling, through listening and stillness, towards simply being.

🍂 DAY OF SILENCE – INTO THE SILENCE

From outer stillness to inner stillness, from doing to being.

Silence is more than the absence of sound. During ‘Into the Silence’, we explore what happens when we ourselves add less and less to the landscape.

The experience begins with gentle, body-centred and somatic movements to shift focus away from the mind and more towards direct bodily sensations. This is followed by simple yoga movements accessible to everyone, mindful breathing and a slow walk through the landscape. Here too, verbal guidance is gradually phased out.

During a seated sensory meditation, attention shifts from the surroundings to the body and back again. Eventually, the guidance comes to an end and we remain together in complete silence for an extended period.

No music and no continuous meditation instructions. The sounds of the heathland, the wind, your breath and the natural surroundings form the experience itself. We’ll conclude with a simple, shared moment of stillness.

From moving and breathing
through feeling and listening
to simply being.

Book your ticket and experience silence in a different way.
