Christmas tree action Junior Rangers - a Christmas from the Grenspark ๐ŸŽ„

  • Thursday 28 November 2024

Go for a green Christmas this year with a Christmas duck from the Grenspark ๐ŸŽ„

Get a unique, 100% organic Christmas tree this year - directly from Grenspark Kalmthoutse Heide - and contribute to the protection of the heath landscape!

A wild Christmas tree from Grenspark Kalmthoutse Heide

The Grenspark Junior Rangers and Natuurpunt invite you to adopt a Christmas tree from the Grenspark. By removing young pine trees, the Junior Rangers help make room for heather growth and for typical heathland species such as the heath butterfly, woodlark, and nightjar.

The Christmas tree action

What you need to know about this unique Christmas tree

This is not just any tree like the ones you find in the garden centre. The pine tree (other than a spruce) you receive from Junior Rangers has a natural, wild look and is 100% organic, with no chemicals or intensive cultivation. The tree is smaller and less full than the usual fir. However, the big advantage of the real fir tree is that it is less likely to lose its needles after being cut down. In addition, this tree tells a unique story of conservation. The tree is between 1.5 and 2 metres tall and has no root ball.
