Get a unique, 100% organic Christmas tree this year and contribute to the protection of the heath landscape! The Grenspark Junior Rangers and Natuurpunt invite you to adopt a Grenspark Christmas tree. By removing young pines and spruces, the Junior Rangers help with this action to make room for heather growth and for typical heathland species such as the heath butterfly, woodlark, and nightjar.
What you need to know about this unique Christmas tree
This Christmas tree is different from the trees you find in the garden centre. It comes from nature and has a pure, wild look. Junior Rangers choose trees that grew 100% organically, without artificial fertilisation, pesticides or intensive cultivation. As a result, it tends to be slightly smaller and less full, but it carries with it a meaningful story: that of nature management and biodiversity. The tree is between 1.5 and 2 metres tall. As it is cut down, it cannot be replanted after use.
Practical
- When: Saturday 6 December 2025, between 12:00 and 13:00.
- Where: You can pick up the tree at the Ster in Kalmthout. Parking is available in Kastanjedreef or surrounding streets: https: //maps.app.goo.gl/vdHmjVU9tTrTsRbs5
- Contribution: Free gift (bring cash). All proceeds go to the Junior Rangers and Natuurpunt.
- Conditions: Maximum 1 tree per family.
- Note: the Junior Rangers harvest and distribute the trees themselves. Digging out or cutting a tree yourself is not allowed.
