Hospitable in the Grenspark

Hospitable in the Grenspark

A Grenspark without hosts and hostesses is like heathland without heather. Although many visitors come to Grenspark Kalmthoutse Heide to enjoy nature, many enjoy a snack, drink or overnight stay before or after. Thanks to our hosts and hostesses, all this is possible!

The Grenspark hosts and hostesses are the area's ambassadors. They are happy to share their knowledge about the park and nature with guests and visitors. They all followed the course 'Host of the Grenspark'. They learned a lot about nature, the landscape, cultural history and recreational opportunities in their area. It resulted in countless interesting facts they keep passing on to whoever wants to hear them. But first and foremost, these recreation entrepreneurs are ready to spoil you (culinary)!

The hosts and hostesses of the Grenspark are distinguished by their genuine commitment to the area. This helps them to respond to the needs of visitors. They also create support for the preservation of our beautiful landscape, for which the Grenspark is very grateful.

In autumn 2024, Grenspark Kalmthoutse Heide organised, together with IVN, the fourth Gastheerschap! A not-to-be-missed course for entrepreneurs and their employees who enthusiastically work in, among other things, hospitality, recreation and tourism around Grenspark Kalmthoutse Heide. Both small and large businesses, (mini) campsites, holiday parks, catering entrepreneurs, hotels, B&Bs, tea gardens, agro-recreational entrepreneurs, museums, but also companies focused on health and well-being both in the Netherlands and in Belgium participated in this course.
