Diary of a Scotsman: walk with Anaïs Berck

Join us on a unique walk and get to know an unusual Waaiden in the Kalmthoutse Heide! This beautiful tree cooperated for a year in Boomtijden, a project by Anaïs Berck, an artistic initiative that brings together trees, people and algorithms. During this project, sensors accurately recorded the movements of its trunk, its CO2 uptake, the humidity in its crown and the influences of sun, wind and rain. During this walk, you will delve into the tree's diary, which the artists created based on all this data as well as conversations with the tree itself, managers, guides and visitors to the Heath. It is a great opportunity to experience and understand nature in a new way.
