Take a quiet peek into the secret world of birds’ nests. In their brand-new coffee-table book *Bird, Nest & Egg*, the father-and-son duo Walter and Joris De Raedt reveal the ingenuity and astonishing diversity of birds’ nests. The book’s large, illustrative plates are created in the field, where Joris observes the birds’ behaviour through his telescope from a safe distance and captures it on paper. Meanwhile, from his cottage in the Swedish forests, Walter writes the text and reminisces about family trips and shared birding adventures.
During the book launch, which takes the form of a talk, Joris and Walter will show videos and images from the fieldwork that preceded the book, supplemented with interesting facts and stories from the book.
Entry is free, but registration is required.
Following the talk, there will be a book-signing session and a stall where the book and other merchandise can be purchased.
